The Callisto Protocol is a futuristic survival horror game developed by Striking Distance Studios. The game takes place in the 24th century on Callisto, a moon of Jupiter. Although Callisto is a barren and miserable rock, humanity has managed to find a purpose for this place – by building a prison there. Black Iron Prison is about as comfortable as the moon it’s located in, which is to say, not at all. But things turn much worse when inmates start transforming into strange, mutilated, hostile creatures, collapsing the strict order of the prison. You play as Jacob Lee, one of the inmates that was untouched by this strange disease. But your struggle for survival has only began. Now, you must navigate the sprawling prison and take fight to the monsters in order to escape. Unfortunately, your resources are scarce; more often than not you will be forced to put your life at risk by engaging them up close. Using the environment to your advantage and knowing when to retreat will be necessary to stay alive.
