Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is an interactive story with some heavy psychological themes. Inspired by the movie with the same name, this game was developed by Pendulo Studios and published by Microids. Ed Miller was travelling through Brody Canyon, in California, when he had the misfortune to crash his car. There were no fatalities, and Edward himself was left without as much as a scratch, but his mental state has suffered greatly. Despite the evidence, he believes that he was travelling with his family at the time of the crash, and that he is responsible for their deaths. Deeply disturbed by this experience, he begins to attend therapy, determined to separate reality from illusion. To accomplish this, you – the player – will need to examine the events from the perspective of three different characters, to compare their memories, find inconsistencies, and piece together the truth. But truth can be quite unsettling as well; there’s nothing pleasant about the mystery that you will uncover.
