Blasphemous 2 is a Metroidvania videogame developed by The Game Kitchen. As a sequel to the first Blasphemous game, it follows the same protagonist and offers a continuation of the story. Compared to its predecessor, it is more polished, but also more linear. There’s still plenty of exploration to do, though; you can explore the game’s trap-filled dungeons in any order you choose. That doesn’t mean everything is available to you from the start, however. Many places require specific abilities to access. Since these abilities are tied to weapons, you will need to switch between them fairly often. This is needed both for exploration and for combat; many enemy types are weak to specific weapons. As long as you take these weaknesses into account (or have a strong build), combat should be relatively easy; to make sure you don’t get bored, the game will throw a boss encounter at you once in a while.
