Lost in Random is an third-person action videogame by Zoink. The game tells a story about Even and Odd, sisters that were separated. The Queen of Random has abducted Odd, and it falls to Even to rescue her – but she will face many challenges on her path to do so, many involving complex, tactical combat.
Speaking of combat, it is very unorthodox – the player can hit the enemies with a slingshot but this will not damage them. This will only give the player energy to use a card – the game has prominent card-collecting elements – whcih will do the damage or have another effect.
Lost in Random was heavily inspired by fairy tales, and this inspiration is seen in the enviroment. The city of Random, which Even will have to traverse, is an amazing blend of whimsical and forebonding atmospheres – after all, not all fairy tales are bright and cheerful. This one is dark, twisted, and gothic… but it’s heartwarming and endearing, too. Go ahead and give it a try – it’s a beautiful, masterfully crafted piece that you will not regret experiencing.
