SnowRunner is an off-road driving simulator developed by Saber Interactive. The game features several large maps to explore and a rather accurate terrain simulator. It is capable of replicating the experience of driving through mud, snow, water (including running water), and ice.
But driving around is not all you can do. SnowRunner features three types of missions that you can complete. Contracts require you to deliver cargo to a certain destination. Most Tasks ask you to tow a stranded vehicle, though some of them have other requirements. Completing Contests involves driving to a given point while on a time limit and, possibly, under other restrictions.
Collecting trucks is another thing the player can engage in. Although the game features 40 different trucks, only one is available from the beginning. The rest have to be unlocked. Most can simply be bought with in-game currency, but some can be unlocked through exploration, or by completing specific missions. Each truck in the game has certain stats, which can result in radically different driving experience.
SnowRunner can be played on PS4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X/S, Switch, and Windows. But you can play SnowRunner on Mac as well even though it is not an officially supported platform. Read the guide below to learn more.
