S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is the second game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series known for combining FPS gameplay with survival horror. It has been developed by GSC Game World, a Ukrainian game studio. Though less polished than Call of Pripyat, Clear Sky is still a good game and has several unique game mechanics that make in worth exploring.
Chronologically, Clear Sky is the first game in the series; it takes place before Call of Chernobyl. Our protagonist for this game is a mercenary named Scar. Working with a reclusive faction of scientists named Clear Sky, he is tasked with stopping an expedition into the center of The Zone.
During the journey, the player may choose to participate in the faction war. You see, in this game, and this game alone, factions actively try to destroy each other. They will attack their enemies’ outposts and defend their own. Although entirely optional after the tutorial level, the warfare mechanic can be quite engaging.
