Star Trek Fleet Command is a strategy game in the 4X genre – for those unfamiliar, 4X means “eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate”, four major game mechanics that these strategies revolve around. Set in the popular Star Trek franchise, the game would be incomplete without the iconic characters – so the developers did include the post popular ones. Finally, the players can join an alliance – a faction of players, basically. Alliances fight each other for the control of the galaxy – they control territories, and can capture them from other alliances.
