Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is an 2D adventure game developed by Frozenbyte and published by THQ Nordic. It is a sequel to Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, and features the same protagonists, Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius. The player is able to freely switch between these three characters, which is necessary to solve puzzles and gain an advantage in combat. While combat is relatively fleshed out – there’s even boss encounters – puzzles are much more prominent over the course of the game. Generally speaking, they involve creating and telekinetically moving objects such as planks and boxes.
