Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetric PvP game developed by IllFonic and published by PlayStation PC LLC. It puts a four-person Fireteam against a single, yet powerful mercenary known as the Predator. Members of the Fireteam are given a different objective during each match; once it is accomplished, they must escape on a helicopter. Coordination is essential in this game mode, as Fireteam members stand no chance against the Predator one-on-one. The players also receive weekly objectives they can work towards during matches, through it is obviously secondary to winning the match. The Predator’s objective, meanwhile, is significantly more straightforward, and always stays the same: to eliminate all members of the Fireteam. X4 Foundations is a space sandbox game developed by Egosoft for their X Universe game series. Unlike many games in this genre (for example, Elite Dangerous), X4 Foundations, and the series as a whole, do not focus on exploration and combat, though there’s still plenty of that. Final Fantasy XII is a JRPG developed by Square Enix for their highly successful Final Fantasy series. Omega Strikers is a multiplayer PvP game in anime style developed by Odyssey Interactive. Releasing on September 17th, 2022, the game enjoyed warm reception and currently ranks “Very Positive” on Steam. All matches take place on a small pitch without any obstacles, with two teams of three players each, and one ball. A team can win the game by scoring five or more goals while also being two points in the lead. But this is not just a virtual football game with anime characters. Said characters have many abilities, both active and passive, that can shape the situation in various ways. The players can also directly attack each other; good luck playing defensively when your goalie is dead. Although the game is currently only available on Windows, the developers also plan to release on other platforms eventually. Isonzo in particular is named after the Isonzo river in Italy, a region that saw multiple battles over the course of World War 1. Aiming for realism and accuracy, Isonzo requires its players to maintain cover, either via natural obstacles, or player-placed sandbags. Barbed wire can be placed too; this will slow your enemies down as they have to either circumvent or cut it with wire cutters. Of course, you will find yourself on both sides of this obstacle. With terrain based on real life, six different classes, and many other historically accurate features, Isonzo is a treat for any lover of historical shooters.
