How to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Mac

Dreamt of a new masterpiece to play in? Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is already out to fill your body up with a new portion of a fascinating experience. It is the 12th game of the Assasin’s Creed series developed and rolled out by Ubisoft. The game unfolds in the year 873 during the conquests of Vikings. The main plot of the game offers players to take on the role of Eivor, a warrior leading his troops from the shores of cold Norway to the fertile lands of England in search of a new home. During the conquest, heroes are faced with lots of enemies convened from other Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. Those who played the precursor of Valhalla will have a chance to continue the story of Leila Hassan right after Assasin’s Creed Odyssey. Alike other parts of the series, Valhalla is an open-world RPG game saturated with lots of challenges and details throughout the gameplay. A variety of bosses and other types of enemies will make your voyage a bloody mess. So raise the spears and achieve what you are meant to. Unfortunately, because the game is only available for Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia with one major platform falling off the list, people could not thrill the experience on Mac systems. Despite this, there are certain technologies that make it possible no matter what.

Play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Mac with BootCamp

This method is simple but time-consuming. If your Mac meets all system requirements above, this is probably the best way to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for now. You need to set up a dual boot of Windows and Mac via BootCamp. BootCamp allows users to choose the system to work in on startup, however, you won’t be able to switch between systems like in Parallels. You will need to reboot your machine every time you switch from Mac to Windows and vice versa. Remember that Mac is just a computer, that uses common processors, RAM, disks, and other components. So you can install Windows on Mac by allocating disc space of a minimum of 64 Gb (to be able to run Windows and a couple of games). To set up Windows via BootCamp, please, do the following:

For OS X El Capitan 10.11 or later

Mention, that for MacOS versions prior to OS X El Capitan 10.11 you will need to create bootable Windows USB.

  1. Download Windows ISO file
  2. Open Boot Camp Assistant (Go to Applications > Utilities)
  3. Define the Windows partition size choose downloaded Windows ISO file
  4. Format Windows partition and go through all Windows installation steps
  5. When Windows boots for the first time follow on-screen instructions to install Boot Camp and Windows support software (drivers)
