THE FINALS is a free-to-play first-person shooter game set in a virtual game show where players fight for the entertainment of others. The game focuses on team-based matches in maps with a destructible environment, encouraging players to use the dynamic environment to their advantage. Players compete in teams of three, with four teams in each match. The game mode seems to have coin collection as its main objective, where players pick up boxes of coins that they deposit into collection locations. The game uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), which is not compatible with Mac operating systems, preventing the game from running directly. Additionally, the game requires DirectX 12, which is not supported on Mac systems. Currently, there are no viable workarounds or methods to enable “The Finals” gameplay on Mac. Even with Parallels Desktop, the inability to meet DirectX 12 requirements obstructs smooth gameplay on MacBook devices. However, there is some hope that the game may become available on Microsoft’s proprietary cloud gaming service – Xbox Cloud Gaming, or any other cloud gaming service. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world, first-person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game is based on the Avatar film series and was released on December 7, 2023. In the game, players take on the role of a Na’vi orphan who was raised and trained as a soldier by the Resources Development Administration (RDA). The game begins when the RDA expands their operations to the Western frontier. One of the leaders of the RDA, John Mercer, abducts you and other Na’vi children from your home to teach you the ways of humans, hoping to mold you and turn you against your own people. However, his plan is interrupted, and you are put into emergency cryosleep. When you awaken 15 years later, you set out to take down the RDA and secure the health of other Na’vi clans. The game is set on a previously unseen continent of Pandora called the Western Frontier, which is split into several subregions, each with its own biomes and local Na’vi subculture. Players can interact with these cultures, assisting in quests and activities as they fight against the RDA. Unfortunately, “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” is not available for Mac users natively. However, there are a few workarounds for playing the game on a Mac. These include using a Windows emulator, a virtual machine, or a cloud gaming service like GeForce Now or Amazon Luna.
