Lost Judgment, developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, is an action-adventure game in the Yakuza series. It is a sequel to Judgment, and follows the same protagonist: Takayuki Yagami, a private investigator with suspiciously good combat abilities. This time, he is investigating a very messy case; an abusive teacher drove his son to suicide, and was then subsequently murdered. With no obvious suspects, he goes undercover at the school the victim worked at. What he discovers there is quite shocking, but the details, of course, are yours to find out. Yagami has improved a lot since the last game; he learned a third combat style, and started using high-tech gadgets to gather evidence. Of course, old-fashioned tactics like wearing disguises or tailing suspects still have their place in the game. And – just like in the prequel – there is a lot of fighting. You don’t have to spend all of your time solving the main case, as there’s plenty of side activities to partake in as well. You can join high school clubs, explore the city of Kamurocho, and investigate a couple of easier cases. Sadly, this game doesn’t have a Mac version, but the guide below lists several easy ways to get around this problem.
