Starfield is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is set in a space-themed environment and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 25 years. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on September 6, 2023. The game begins with players mining resources on the planet of Vectera. During this process, the protagonist discovers a mysterious artifact that triggers a vision. Following this experience, the protagonist is inducted into an organization called Constellation and is sent on a quest to find more of these artifacts. These artifacts make up something called The Unity, the focal point of multiple universes. When complete, The Unity grants its discoverers the ability to travel across parallel universes as Starborn. The player becomes a Starborn thanks to this mission from Constellation, but not without a few twists and turns. The game’s narrative picks up in the back half thanks to some shocking twists, a memorable ending, and an interesting conceit that leads into “New Game Plus” -style replays. Essentially, Starfield’s story never ends as players continue to explore the infinite, even if they make their character act very differently in their fifth run compared to their first. As of now, Starfield has been developed primarily for Windows and console platforms such as Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. There is no native macOS version of the game. However, there are workarounds to play Starfield on Mac that we will show in this article.

How to play Idol Showdown on Mac
Idol Showdown is an anime fighting game featuring hololive VTubers. It is worth noting that this is a fangame, not an official hololive production. The upside of this is that the game is entirely free, but it does also mean a lower development budget. Don’t worry, though – the game is playable, fun, and has several nice features (such as rollback netcode). Obviously, the main attraction of the game are hololive idols; for now, it features eight playable characters, including Hoshimachi Suisei, Kiryu Coco, and Aki Rosenthal. But even players who don’t care much about VTubers will find it enjoyable, as the gameplay itself is very solid. The controls are great, the animations look good, and no character is overpowered – what’s not to love? If you were looking for a free fighting game, you may very well give Idol Showdown a try. Officially, it is available only on Microsoft Windows – can’t expect too much from a team of fans – but it’s also possible to play Idol Showdown on Mac. Read the guide below for more details.

SMITE is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Titan Forge Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios. Unlike most games in this genre, it is played from a third-person perspective. After selecting a character from a roster of 125 mythological figures, the players enter the game. The default game mode is called “Conquest”. From a gameplay perspective, it is similar to other MOBA games, featuring two teams of five players and a three-lane map. However, there are many other modes as well. Joust, for example, is a mode designed for shorter fights; it has two teams of three players and a map with only one lane. Arena, meanwhile, is a simplified mode that plays more like team deathmatch; there are no lanes or towers, and the main focus is on killing the other team’s heroes. SMITE is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. Though Mac is not one of the officially supported platforms, there are several unofficial ways to play SMITE on Mac. Strike Force Heroes is a shooter game developed by Sky9 Games and published by IndieArk. It is a remake of a Flash game that had the same name, and brings many new features to this old-school title. Just like in the original, the focal point of the game is its campaign; beautiful cutscenes, humorous dialogue, and epic fights make Strike Force Heroes a remarkable experience. But the game is not over when you’re done with the story. Thanks to unlockable difficulty options, a wide variety of possible builds, and tons of available missions, Strike Force Heroes is almost infinitely replayable. And when you finally decide that you can’t play singleplayer anymore, you’ll have the option to hop into the game’s PvP matches, or invite your friends to beat the campaign in cooperative mode. The possibilities are endless! However, there’s one minor catch. Since this is not a Flash game anymore, compatibility becomes a problem: you cannot natively play this game on Apple-made machines. But there are other ways to do it. The guide below lists several ways to play Strike Force Heroes on Mac.

Undawn is an open-world multiplayer survival game developed by Lightspeed Studios. You, along other survivors, will have to brave the elements, fend off wildlife, and take care of your character’s needs. Those include physical needs like Hunger and Hydration, but also mental needs such as Mood. Of course, just getting by isn’t good enough; if you want to thrive, you’ll have to venture out and explore the ruins of civilization. There, you may find unique gear, quests, and events. Of course, most of these places are infested with zombies; if the ruins were safe, someone else would’ve picked them clean long time ago. This is why no one lives in these structures, either. But you will not have to sleep under a bush forever; Undawn has a complex building system and awards each player a whole acre of land to build on. All in all, you should probably give this game a try – especially since it’s free – but there is one issue. Undawn is available on Windows, Android, and iOS, but it doesn’t have a Mac version. Despite this, there are several ways to play Undawn on Mac. Read the guide below for more details.

Escape the Backrooms is a horror game developed and published by Fancy Games. It shouldn’t be confused with Inside the Backrooms; even though they share the same setting and have a similar premise, these are two different games. As the name suggests, you will be exploring the Backrooms, a strange dimension that looks like an empty office. This can be done either alone or as a team of up to four players. Currently, Escape the Backrooms features 20 hand-crafted levels, 12 monsters which must be avoided in different ways, and several unique mechanics. For example, you or your teammates may randomly pass through walls or fall through the floor, ending up somewhere else entirely. The unfortunate survivor will then have to find their way back to where they were. This is especially difficult in multiplayer, since voice chat is proximity-based. Overall, Escape the Backrooms is fun, scary, and immersive. It offers great value for the price, so why not check it out? Sure, it doesn’t have a Mac version, but there are ways around that. RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter developed by Teyon, a Polish game studio. In this game, you will uphold the rule of law through liberal use of guns and explosives. And don’t worry about destroying public property; it’s Detroit, it can’t get any worse. As an elite cybernetic officer, you will not be dealing with petty crimes. Leave parking tickets and jaywalking fines to your fleshy counterparts! You’re busy uncovering a shadow organization instead. The story of Rogue City is not fully linear. You can approach your missions in multiple ways; some may have worse outcomes. Still, this is a shooter, not an RPG. Your primary concern will be weapon and armor upgrades, not “choices and consequences”. And there are a lot of weapons! The iconic Auto-9, combat shotgun, assault cannon, and about a dozen of other weapons can all be used to deadly effect. You can even throw motorbikes at your enemies. This game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. However, you can also play RoboCop: Rogue City on Mac. Read our guide to learn how to do so.
