Is it possible to play Ghost of Tsushima on Mac?
Ghost of Tsushima is an action game developed by Sucker Punch Productions. It depicts the first Mongol invasion of Japan, a historical event that occurred in the 13th century. The first place Mongols targeted was a small island called Tsushima, which is located far away from the Japanese mainland, but close to the Korean peninsula. This is where the game takes place. You will be playing as Jin Sakai, a local samurai on a quest to halt the invasion and prevent the Mongols from ever reaching the mainland. However, the Japanese army stationed on the island suffers a devastating defeat, so Jin is forced to employ guerilla tactics to pursue his objectives. Since you can’t fight many people at once, you’ll have to split enemy groups by using firecrackers and smoke bombs. You can also kill them from afar using either a bow, kunai, or explosives, and even make them fight each other by confusing them with hallucinogenic poison darts. Ghost of Tsushima originally released on PS4 in 2020, and was ported to PS5 a year later. In 2024, the game also came to PC. Play Ghost of Tsushima on Mac with Parallels
One easy way to play Ghost of Tsushima on Mac is by using a program called Parallels Desktop. This program is capable of creating and running virtual machines that run Windows and support hardware acceleration. In simpler terms, Parallels Desktop allows you to install Windows 10 on Mac with just a couple of clicks and switch between MacOS and Windows instantly. Though compatibility layers can be tricky to work with, CrossOver in particular includes user-friendly configuration tools, automated installation scripts, and technical support. Unlike Parallels Desktop, CrossOver supports DirectX12 games. All things considered, this is a relatively easy way to run Windows software and games on non-Windows devices. As such, you may be able to play Ghost of Tsushima on Mac using CrossOver.

This method is simple but time-consuming. If your Mac meets all the system requirements above, you can play Ghost of Tsushima on Mac by installing Windows. You need to set up a dual boot of Windows and Mac via BootCamp. This is an application that allows users to choose the system to work in on startup, however, you won’t be able to switch between systems like in Parallels. You will need to reboot your machine every time you want to switch from Mac to Windows and vice versa. Remember that Mac is just a computer, in the end.
