Metal Mutation is an action roguelite game developed by T0 STUDIO. In this cyberpunk world, a nanoparticle-based virus is destroying the society. Two futuristic characters – a cyborg and an AI – intend to work together to stop this artificial plague. Unsurprisingly, your journey will involve copious amounts of combat. The game will give you a variety of weapons and skills to defeat your opponents; should you fail, you will have to start all over. And although this is primarily an action game, planning and strategy are required. Trying to mindlessly use the same attack every time will result in a swift and humiliating defeat. That said, this is a roguelite, not a roguelike. Metaprogression – permanent upgrades for your character that are not lost between runs – is a fairly prominent part of the game, with many powerful options available. This ensures that even weak players will be able to clear the game eventually. On the other hand, those who want a purely skill-based experience may choose to limit their upgrades, or even avoid them entirely. Metal Mutation is not a demanding game, so Parallels Desktop can be a solution. This is an application that allows for Windows virtualization on Mac with the full support of DirectX and GPUs. In simpler terms, what this means is that it allows you to install Windows 10 on Mac with just a couple of clicks and switch between MacOS and Windows instantly. So you will be able to run Windows, install Steam (or Epic Games Store), and enjoy the Metal Mutation game on Mac just like on a regular PC.

You need to set up a dual boot of Windows and Mac via BootCamp. For MacOS versions prior to OS X El Capitan 10.11 you will need to create a bootable Windows USB.
