For Honor is an action game developed and published by Ubisoft. The game allows players to play the roles of historical forms of soldiers and warriors such as knights, samurai, and vikings, controlled using a third-person perspective. The game is set during a medieval, fantasy setting, where players can play as a character from one of five different factions, namely the Iron Legion (Knights), the Warborn (Vikings), the Dawn Empire (Samurai), and the Wu Lin (Ancient Chinese). The game’s plot revolves around a tale of warring factions deep in a crucial moment of an age-old war where they battle not only their faction enemies but the army of the merciless and bloodthirsty Apollyon, the leader of the Blackstone Legion. The game’s story campaign is divided into three chapters, each with six missions, where players can play as one of the game’s heroes and learn more about the game’s lore. Everspace 2 is a space combat game developed and published by a German studio called ROCKFISH Games. Though you may be trapped in the hostile environment of Demilitarized Zone of Cluster 34, the world around you is still a beautiful place filled with mystery and opportunity. Go forth and explore! Search for treasure, participate in races, complete quests, collect ships, figure out puzzles, and simply fly around having fun – but be prepared to defend your life in challenging combat. This lawless place is filled with warring factions, petty warlords, and even hostile aliens; a shootout is never off the table. If you want to stay alive, you will have to think on your feet, but it will also be necessary to prepare beforehand. A large variety of ship equipment can be purchased from various vendors; make use of them to gather a formidable arsenal. Different scenarios require different approaches, so there’s no such thing as “the best gun”. You should also consider recruiting others to help you on your journey; your ship’s abilities will benefit from their expertise. Though Everspace 2 is a great game, it lacks one crucial thing: a macOS version. Officially, it can be played only on Windows, Xbox Series X and S, and PS5. You, playing as Ester, will have to explore the abandoned structures that litter its surface, as well as your own crashed vessel. But remember to stay cautious – something’s not right down there. The feeling of dread, tension, and unease permeates the whole game, greatly contributing to the horror experience. Though Ester has a clear goal in mind – she’s searching for her lost partner – you will not always be able to single-mindedly focus on this task, distracted by pesky inconveniences such as immediate survival. Scavenging for resources and winning in combat will often be your priority in this atmospheric world. Don’t give up, though – when you finally manage to uncover the story of SINGALIS, you will find it quite beautiful. Haunting, disturbing, and simply sad, it is bound to make you shed at least a couple of tears. As one of the few survivors, you now seek to enter these tainted mists and get to the bottom of this strange story. Occasionally, you will meet other sane villagers, who may give you a sidequest or offer a trade. But for the most part, creatures inside Wyrdness will be hostile, and you will have to defeat them by engaging in card-based combat. Although you have to restart the game from the beginning if you lose, you will sometimes unlock new content by doing so. Officially, this game is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and even Linux. Apple computers, however, got ignored – as usual. The Expanse: A Telltale Series is an adventure game based on the popular TV show The Expanse. The game does not cover the same events as the show; instead, it serves as a prequel. To replicate the feel of a show, the game has an episodic structure. However, you will not have to wait very long for these episodes – a new one will release every two weeks. Five main episodes are planned in total; in addition, one bonus episode will be released as a DLC. All main episodes have the same protagonist, everyone’s favorite character Camina Drummer. You will be given the opportunity to explore the Asteroid Belt, salvage destroyed ships, fight pirates, and, of course, learn more about Drummer’s life. The DLC episode, meanwhile, will follow Chrisjen Avasarala; though we don’t know much about this episode just yet, it will likely focus on politics rather than action. This sci-fi adventure game can be played on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as on Windows PC. The story of Stranger of Paradise is rather confusing, and can be tough to follow. However, as long as you pay attention, everything will click together by the end. MudRunner is an off-road driving game released by Saber Interactive in 2017. The studio then went on to release a sequel to this game, called SnowRunner. From the gameplay side of things, you will be driving a truck through very difficult terrain, delivering supplies to some places in the middle of nowhere. Your truck is not fast by any means, and there’s no time limit on your deliveries either; thus, the game can be quite a relaxing experience. However, there is one very big challenge in this game: getting anywhere at all. Driving through mud, water, and tree leaves is not easy at all; you have to consider where you’re going or you will get stuck. It is worth noting that just because this game has a sequel doesn’t mean it’s completely overshadowed by its successor. For one, this game has significantly lower system requirements, so it’s an excellent choice if you have a weak computer. Terrain simulation is also slightly more accurate compared to SnowRunner; in the sequel, the developers have tweaked the engine slightly to make it feel more like a videogame. MudRunner can be played on PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC, as well as on Nintendo Switch and Android/iOS smartphones. Paper City is filled with many unusual inhabitants. Here, humans live alongside animated toys, sentient animals, and robots. Though, there’s been a lot less robots around recently – just as the name of the game suggests, they started mysteriously disappearing. Playing as Ted E. Bear, a plush toy detective, you will investigate these disappearances and uncover the sinister truth behind them. The first three episodes of Bear With Me can be played on Windows, macOS, Linux, as well as on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The Lost Robots, however, is different: the support for macOS and Linux was dropped due to budget constraints.
