Just like the first two games in the series, it was developed by Running With Scissors, an Arizona-based game company. Postal 4 features plenty of improvements over it’s predecessor, Postal 2. For one, it features a considerably larger map, made with an excellent level of attention to detail. To help you get around, fast travel was implemented into the game, as well as the ability to use a mobility scooter. In this title, the Postal Dude gets his car stolen. Stranded in a small town in the middle of nowhere, he will attempt to find employment as a sewer worker, a prison guard, and an animal catcher. Amnesia: The Bunker is the 4th and latest installment in the Amnesia video game series. Developed and published by Frictional Games, this horror FPS features an unusual setting: an abandoned military bunker during World War One. A French soldier, Henri Clément, got trapped inside of this eerie facility. Of course, this is only the beginning of his problems. Henri will have to solve various puzzles, scavenge for resources, and figure out how to escape, all while hunted by an unknown creature. Fortunately, the monster seems to avoid light – unfortunately, Henri is underground. Keeping the bunker’s generator running will keep the lights on, however dim and flickering they may be. But fuel for the generator is a limited resource; you don’t have that much time to escape. Turns out the planet has put the perception of time into a constant loop, repeatedly sending Selene back to the crash site each time she dies. Being in this, at first glance, hopeless situation, the character has to get through a number of challenges, including intense and compromising fights with various enemies, solving riddles and puzzles, uncovering hidden secrets as well as overcoming other obstacles that await further on this fascinating and at the same time horrific Atropos planet. During the whole gameplay, players will have to find new artifacts and gain upgrades, improving the character’s abilities and helping Selene discover the answers she needs. In Returnal developers have made a strong focus on narrative, featuring Selene’s story through cutscenes and in-game interactions with the environment – all of this along with eye-stunning graphics and immersive sound affects maintaining a constant sense of dread and tension. With its procedurally generated levels, interesting plot, and deep combat system, Returnal is sure to provide hours of replayable gameplay for those who are up to the challenge. Having access to and control over a number of units, ranging from infantry to tanks and aircraft, players will be able to adapt the environment to fighting needs and build their own strategic pace and approach to outsmart the marching or defending opponents. On top of the solo-play campaign, Company of Heroes 3 also offers online co-op and PVP modes (e.g., “Domination”, “Capture the flag”, etc.) bringing a number of other players to compete against or alongside your back on the mutual battlefield. An interesting new feature made available in this third installment is the tactical pause system. Players can pause the game and issue commands to their units, giving them time to plan the next move. This system is especially good to practice prior to delving into multiplayer matches where quick thinking and strategic planning are essential elements in deciding one’s victory. The graphics in Company of Heroes 3 perfectly match the game’s genre and are far better compared to its predecessors. This ensures that even weak players will be able to clear the game eventually. On the other hand, those who want a purely skill-based experience may choose to limit their upgrades, or even avoid them entirely. The game’s plot has stayed exactly the same; an evil AI named SHODAN took over the Citadel Space Station and turned the crew into cybernetic thralls. Now, she intends to conquer Earth, while you, the protagonist, intend to stop her. Though this premise is very simple, there’s more to this story. Many documents have been scattered throughout the game, providing information about the world it takes place in. Though reading them is not exactly necessary, this is not a mindless shooter – skip too much, and you will find yourself lost, not knowing where to go, or stuck in front of a door you don’t know the passcode for. System Shock 2023 is easily the best way to play the game now that it is available. However, for the time being, this experience is limited to Windows users. Stealth is emphasized, as direct combat is not an option for players. “The Outlast Trials” offers a first-person perspective and provides players with night-vision goggles to navigate dark areas. The game includes various items like anti-psychotic drugs, lockpicks, and healing items, but players can only carry a limited number of objects at a time. The development of the game involved a team of approximately 40 people. The release date was initially slated for 2021 but was delayed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
