Mech Arena: Robot Showdown by Plarium Global, Ltd. is a multiplayer mech fighting game available on iOS and Android. It is often compared to War Robots as the two games have basically the same gameplay premise. But even though the basic premise is the same, Mech Arena does things very differently. It is considered significantly less pay-to-win, for one.
Three distinct game modes are present in Mech Arena – “Control Point Clashes”, 5v5 deathmatch, and 2v2 deathmatch. Unlike in War Robots, no modes allow people to play solo, as the developers want teamwork to be a core part of gameplay.
When it comes to mech variety, Mech Arena does not offer the same variety of mechs and weapons that War Robots does (though it still offers quite a few). However, options available to Mech Arena players are generally well-balanced, without overpowered combinations like in War Robots. Mech Arena’s mechs also have special abilities like energy shields and jump jets – a feature entirely absent from War Robots. Mech Arena also offers better map variety – there are 25 maps to play on, compared to War Robots’ 12.

War Robots is a mobile game in MOBA genre created by Pixonic. The game is also known as Walking War Robots, as well as War Robots Multiplayer Battles. It is a third-person shooter, and, true to its name, has only multiplayer available. The main mode of the game is team-based 6v6 PvP – it receives the most focus, and the game is balanced around it. It is not the only mode, however – the players can also engage in Free For All and Arena fights. War Robots features several dozens of playable robots. The Grand Mafia is a base-building game in the criminal style. The player will take on a role of a Mafia Boss, engaging in a variety of illicit activities to overtake other gangs and families. There are many different features in The Grand Mafia – base-building serves as the core of the game, but there’s also PvE and PvP combat to engage in, occasional in-game events to spice things up, and even a dating minigame.
The base-building part is relatively straightforward – to progress, the player will often need to construct or upgrade all sorts of buildings. Many serve a nefarious purpose – for example, the main way to make money in this game are buildings dedicated to counterfeiting. Other buildings, on the other hand, are simply needed for the day-to-day operations of the base and are not illegal by themselves. An infirmary simply heals the wounded people – the fact that they’ve got these wounds in a shootout over drugs is another story.
Combat in The Grand Mafia is relatively simple, though it still has a certain level of depth. The player can recruit three different types of combatants – Bruisers, Hitmen, and Bikers. They do different things and counter each other in a rock-paper-scissors fashion. There’s also a fourth type of combat unit – Mortar Cars, that serve a more specialized purpose.
