World War Heroes is a first-person shooter game set during World War II. For those who were hoping for a World War I-themed game from the title – nope, sorry. It’s a WW2 game… yes, another one. While some might feel that WW2 is so prominent in the media that the setting is pretty much overused, there are plenty of reasons why it’s so popular. Being the last and also the largest global conflict to ever occur made World War II very iconic and prominent in mass consciousness. You can’t really go wrong with WW2 as a setting – other than the fact that there’s so much media about it that it’s hard to stand out, it’s a great choice with plenty of things to feature and explore. And feature this game does. Four countries’ equipment is present – not only from USSR and Germany, which no WW2 game will skip but also from US and Japan. Furthermore, game maps are based on the historic locations that played an important role during the war. From the gameplay perspective, a wide variety of different weapons are present, including even the ability to control a tank. There are six different game modes, your usual modes such as team deathmatch, deathmatch, point capture, and capture the flag that is omnipresent and requires no explanation, but also “team battle” which is a variation on team deathmatch in which players do not respawn, and “HQ defense” in which the players must destroy the enemy headquarters while protecting their own. Overall, World War Heroes is a decent first-person shooter, but it is only available on Android and iOS. What about all the PC and Mac users that want to give this game a try? Do not despair, for there is a solution – a number of them, in fact.

How to play League of Legends: Wild Rift on PC or Mac
League of Legends: Wild Rift is a mobile adaptation of League of Legends, a popular multiplayer online battle arena game. As the developers tried to faithfully recreate LoL experience on smartphones, the gameplay in LoL: Wild Rift is pretty similar to that in LoL proper. In both games, players have to select the character they want to play as. These characters, referred to as champions in the games, have different stats and abilities, which in turn influences gameplay. Each match, the players are split into two teams and have to destroy the other team’s “Nexus” in order to win the game. In addition to being structures to be attacked (and, respectively, defended), Nexuses also spawn “minions” – computer-controlled units that advance towards the opposing team’s Nexus in several lanes, attacking the other team’s units, players, and structures. Aiding your team’s minions is an important part of the games’ strategy, as well as killing them to obtain gold and experience. As the game is match-based, however, any gold, items, and experience obtained during the match is lost after it ends.
That said, even though League of Legends and League of Legends: Wild Rift are pretty similar, there are also differences. They primarily serve to make the game more fast-paced as mobile players tend to favor short game sessions. These changes, like smaller maps and higher (compared to LoL) gold drop rate make quite an impact – in LoL, a match typically lasts around 30 to 45 minutes. In Wild Rift – fifteen minutes.
Of course, this might sound appealing even if you’re not playing on smartphone. Yet, League of Legends: Wild Rift is not available on PC or Mac – it’s been released on Android and iOS only. Thankfully, there is nonetheless a way to play League of Legends: Wild Rift on PC or Mac even though it’s a smartphone-only game.
How to play Knockout City on Mac
Knockout City is a competitive multiplayer game available for Windows, current and previous generations of XBox and Playstation consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch. In the game, the players are split into teams, and have to knock out players on the opposing team by hitting them with balls. A virtual reimagination of dodgeball, the game features several different game modes: your usual, expected, team deathmatch, deathmatch (or “Team KO” and “KO Chaos” as this family-friendly game calls them), 1v1 “face-off”, as well as more unusual modes such as “Diamond Dash”, in which players drops diamonds on knock-out and the first one to collect enough of them wins a round, and “Ball-Up Brawl”, which is a regular team deathmatch game, except there are no balls and players have to use each other as balls instead. Though you can do that in a normal team deathmatch too – the game has a variety of different balls that have special effects, which includes throwing your curled-up teammates at the enemy. Other special balls include Moon Ball, a ball that makes the player holding it lighter, and Soda Ball, that temporarily obstructs the vision of the player that got hit with it. Thanks to the crossplay feature, the owners of all supported platforms can enjoy this game together, playing on the same servers and enjoying shorter waiting times that come with having a larger userbase. Meanwhile, those that have an unsupported platform, such as a Mac computer, are left with nothing at all. Makes sense – the game just isn’t available on it, what else there is to say? As it turns out, there are a few things that can be said about this because this situation can be remedied. Despite the lack of a port, it is possible to play Knockout City on Mac – here’s how.

Elden Ring is an upcoming game developed by FromSoftware and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. For those of you unfamiliar with him, Hidetaka Miyazaki is the name behind the Souls game series, as well as Bloodborne. This alone would’ve been more than enough to make the game well-known way before its release, but just you wait – there’s more. The worldbuilding for the game was done in collaboration with no one other than George R. R. Martin – that’s right, the guy who brought you Game of Thrones. And that is why Elden Ring won Game Awards’ “Most Anticipated Game” award in both 2020 and 2021. As the game will release at the end of this month – February 25th, to be exact – now is the time to get hyped (assuming you weren’t already). Much like its spiritual predecessor, Dark Souls, Elden Ring will be a third-person open-world game focusing primarily on close-range combat and exploration, with the combat system being deep, cerebral, and highly difficult. This is why people loved the Souls series, after all. Well, that and its grim aesthetic – which Elden Ring will have plenty of as well. Though expansive, the game world will be only sparsely populated by friendly NPCs, contributing to the dark, hostile atmosphere of the game. Though Elden Ring is full of promises, there’s also a flaw. It is set to release on Windows, as well as the current and previous generation of the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but there are no plans for Mac support. It would be quite disappointing to be unable to play the upcoming hit… but we have a solution for that. The options listed below will allow you to play Elden Ring on Mac despite the lack of a port.

Zombie survival games come dime a dozen these days. It seems that everyone and their grandmother tried their hand at making one, and then tried again. This sea – nay, an ocean – of zombie games makes it difficult for the good ones to stand out, yet World War Z manages to do so. A cooperative four-player shooter, it’s been often compared to Left 4 Dead, and rightly so, but World War Z has plenty of features that set it apart as well. For one, the game allows the players to choose their class, of which there are seven. From relatively straightforward classes such as the Gunslinger or the Medic, to more unorthodox ones such as the Dronemaster, any player will be able to find a playstyle they enjoy. The game’s story, or rather stories, spans the whole globe, with different levels set in wildly different places – from New York to Vatican City, from Tokyo to Kamchatka, it covers locations locations both well-known and obscure. What’s more, World War Z takes advantage of modern hardware capabilities by simulating hordes consisting of up to a thousand zombies, nailing that “endless horde” experience that older games couldn’t quite create. The game was originally released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and XBox One, and has been ported to Nintendo Switch in 2021 – two years after its original release. With that in mind, the prospects for an eventual World War Z Mac port are rather grim, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it, as there’s a number of solutions that allow one to play World War Z on Mac despite the lack of an official port.

Formula 1 is the world’s most-renowned, most-popular, highest-profile-possible racing championship. Indeed, it is so well-known that there’s no need to introduce it to anyone, ever – no matter how little someone knows about racing, it is all but guaranteed that they’ve heard of Formula 1. It only stands to reason for such a prominent competition to have its own game series, and what a series that is. It features twenty games in total, spanning from F1 2000 all the way to the most recent installment, F1 2021 (yeah, they don’t have the most creative names). It is this game, F1 2021, that we’d like to talk about today. The game has quite a few features that put it above its predecessors, the biggest of which is the ability to play the game’s Career Mode together with a friend. For those racing fans that were saddened that some of the F1 2021 Championship’s rounds were canceled due to COVID-19, the game presents a consolation – four out of five canceled circuits are available to play. The game’s story mode, Braking Point, spans across three whole years, should also not go unmentioned. Yet in one way F1 2021 is much worse than some of the games that came before it. F1 2012, F1 2016, and F1 2017 all have Mac support, but F1 2021 doesn’t. But what if you’re not content with playing these older games and want to try out the newest? Well, there are options.

Recently released Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction has already conquered the hearts of many gamers and reviewers. Unlike its predecessor, Rainbow Six Extraction has only PVE mode with 18 unique operators, 13 types of enemies, 12 maps, and 13 types of missions, making each game different. We’ve already seen some operators in the previous game, Rainbow Six Siege, such as Doc, Hibana, Jäger, Sledge, Tachanka, and more. It’s possible to play solo and team up with two more players, in contrast to the classical four-player PVE action, which is very interesting. The main idea of each round is to complete the objective and, well, stay alive. The game encourages stealth gameplay because health doesn’t replenish, there’s not much ammo, and an uproar will only attract more enemies. In our honest opinion, Rainbow Six Extraction turned out to be pretty balanced, even though it just came out. If you like the previous Tom Clancy games, it’s a must-play. But unfortunately, the only platforms that support Rainbow Six Extraction are Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Huh, no macOS support yet again. But, as always, we have some ways to overcome this shortcoming. Follow the guide and enjoy playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction on your macOS.
