Last Command is an action game developed by CreSpirit. It is based on the retro game Snake, where you have to collect food on a 2D field while avoiding walls and your own tail. However, Last Command radically reinvents this timeless gameplay formula; it adds dodging, boss fights, skills, and even a story mode. Now, you might be wondering, how does this even work? During boss fights, your screen will be filled with complex patterns of projectiles, which you have to avoid. This can often be challenging, so you need to make use of your skills. Alongside dodging, which we mentioned before, there are skills that can temporarily grant you off-grid movement, reduce the length of the snake, spawn food items, and many others. Monsters are no pushovers either; though most enemies have simple attack patterns, they can still be dangerous if you run out of stamina or have to fight in the dark. A big part of this game is the curse mechanic. As you play through the game, you will accumulate corruption, which weakens your character in various ways. There are ways to limit your corruption, but you cannot avoid it entirely. Certainly, it’s an interesting way to make the game harder as you play. As a regular teenage boy, he doesn’t exactly perform well, struggling and even losing a limb in the process. The combat is generally pretty fun, based on dodging, alternating between light and heavy attacks, and chaining combos to perform special moves. Over time, you’ll be joined by other survivors, most of whom happen to be cute girls. Perhaps you’ll be able to give dating another try, despite the apocalypse. Indeed, one might argue that this is the main appeal of Eternights, as characters are generally well-written and likeable. As a result, Mosa Lina has an almost endless amount of content, and can be played for hundreds of hours.
