Gray Zone Warfare is an extraction shooter developed by MADFINGER Games. Although it was inspired by Escape from Tarkov, the game is actually quite different… but let’s start from the beginning. The game is set on an island called Lamang, which is located somewhere in Southeast Asia. Though we don’t know why, all civilians in the area were evacuated by the United Nations, and three factions were recruited to explore the area. You play as a member of one of these factions, which is also the game’s main innovation. Each faction controls a portion of the map, where they are most prominent. As members of your own faction are friendly towards you, it’s possible to completely avoid PvP encounters if you stay within the controlled area. The game also has a realistic injury system, which tracks damage to each part of your body. It also doesn’t inform you about this damage directly, so you have to identify your health issues yourself. Healing is even harder, so you’d be wise to stay cautious. Right now, the game is available only on PC. There are, however, several third-party programs which bypass this issue. Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game that intricately combines realistic city-building with large-scale tactical battles. The game is set in a fictionalized version of historical Franconia and offers a deep, organic city-building experience where players can grow their starting village into a bustling city. This involves managing resources, constructing buildings, and expanding land through strategic planning and warfare. The gameplay of Manor Lords is divided into several core mechanics: regional development, trade, and military recruitment. Players can upgrade residential buildings to gain development points, which are then used to unlock new branches on a development tree, allowing for specialization in various production chains like farming, mining, or goods manufacturing. The economic model is dynamic, with the attractiveness of a town’s market affecting the frequency of merchant visits, which are crucial for accumulating wealth. In terms of combat, Manor Lords employs real-time tactical battles reminiscent of the Total War series, where players manage large battalions rather than individual units. The game features different types of military units, including peasant militias, archer militias, and more heavily armored units like the lord’s retinue. Players must also navigate a political landscape, interacting with other lords and the king to gain influence and rewards. Unfortunately, Manor Lords is not available for Mac users. It requires Windows 10 or higher, and there are currently no plans to port the game to Mac or any other non-PC platforms. However, there are few workarounds, that will help you enjoy this game on Mac.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a JRPG developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios. Like most games in this genre, it is turn-based and follows a party of characters rather than one person. There’s still a protagonist, though – a young boy named Nowa who recently became a city guard. Despite his inexperience, he is sent on a dangerous mission to explore an ancient ruin, and it all goes downhill from there. Gameplay-wise, you will experience plenty of combat, with a decent amount of exploration thrown in as well. Throughout most of the game, you will be recruiting people for your army, as you eventually become its leader. Though completing the game is not difficult, many side quests will give you no directions at all, so you will have to figure out how to complete them on your own. Other optional activities include fishing, cooking, as well as many different minigames which you can unlock. Now, let’s discuss how to play Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on Mac. As you may already know, the game doesn’t have an official macOS version, and you will need a third-party program to fix this incompatibility. Several such options are listed in the guide below.

You may have heard of Apple’s Game Porting Toolkit (GPTK), which can be used to play Windows games on Mac. GPTK is free but requires advanced computer skills to use; after all, it was made for developers, not regular users. This is precisely the problem Whisky was created to address. Whisky provides a user interface for tools such as GPTK and Wine, and lets users interact with these programs easier. Although it’s not an entirely accurate description, you can think of Whisky as a user-friendly version of GPTK. It will automatically perform certain complicated tasks, allowing you to focus on actual games. This does not mean Whisky is completely intuitive. For a new user, it can be a bit confusing, which is why we wrote this simple macOS Whisky tutorial.

Sker Ritual is a first-person shooter developed and published by Wales Interactive. To be more specific, it’s a horror survival game inspired by the “zombies” mode from Call of Duty. Although zombies themselves do not make an appearance in this game, many other monsters do. Known as the Quiet Ones, they will either mindlessly attack you, lie in an ambush, or stalk you from the shadows. There are even boss monsters, called “elites”. To confront these abominations, you’ll have an entire arsenal of old-fashioned but deadly weapons. Additionally, you will be able to gain occult powers – known as “miracles” – during gameplay. You cannot select which miracles you gain, which makes each playthrough different. The game can be played either solo or in a team of up to four players. However, it automatically adjusts the difficulty to the number of players; playing in a team will not help you gain an advantage, but might make the game more fun. Sker Ritual is available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as on Windows PC. Although macOS is not supported, our guide lists several unofficial ways to play Sker Ritual on Mac.

No Rest for the Wicked is an action-oriented RPG developed by Moon Studios GmbH. Set in the distant past, the game combines souls-like hack-n-slash combat, gorgeous landscapes, and a suitably grim story. The land of Sacra is suffering from many issues. A magical plague called “The Pestilence” corrupts people, animals, and even the ground itself. King Harol, a wise and just ruler, has recently died, leaving the throne to his rash and inexperienced son Magnus. The church sees the plague as a way to advance their own ambitions, while various rebel groups begin to appear on the country’s outskirts. Fighting will be your primary activity in this miserable world; just like in a Souls game, combat is relatively slow-paced but also unforgiving. You’ll have to choose your moves carefully, as even one mistake can get you killed. The game also includes more peaceful content, like fishing, farming, and interior decorating. Exploration also plays a large role. Although it’s fairly demanding when it comes to hardware, you may be able to play No Rest for the Wicked on Mac – as long as your machine is powerful enough. DjVu is a file format designed specifically for printed media and document scans. Its primary purpose is to make these files easily accessible online. DjVu files are highly compressed; they don’t take up much space, and even people with slow internet connections will be able to download them quickly. PDF is a different file format that fulfills the same purpose. Although PDF files are larger in size compared to DjVu, they are easier to create and edit, and look better in general. The format also has advantages when it comes to security. It is easy to understand why PDF files are popular while DjVu files are not. Back in 1998 – when DjVu was introduced – hard drives could only store a few gigabytes and internet was painfully slow. But nowadays, small file size doesn’t really matter much. On the other hand, advantages of PDF – superior image quality and security features – will always be relevant. Since only a few programs support DjVu files, you might want to convert them to PDF. Read this article to learn how to convert DjVu to PDF on Mac.

DjVu files are designed to store scans of books, magazines, and documents. Unlike simple image formats like JPEG, DjVu files contain both the original scans and text. In practice, this means that you can copy text from these files and search through them. Although this functionality is also provided by PDF files, certain institutions (like digital libraries) prefer to use DjVu for financial or technical reasons. Nonetheless, DjVu is not as popular as PDF, which means it doesn’t enjoy widespread software support. MacOS can’t open DjVu files without third-party software, and Windows can’t either. You may be unable to view DjVu files even if you already have a e-book reader installed, since not all of them support this uncommon file format. That said, programs that support DjVu files do exist, so it is possible to read DjVu files on Mac. Read our article for a short list of compatible programs.
