F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is an dieselpunk Metroidvania game from a Chinese developer known as TiGames. Its stunning visuals, fun, fast-paced combat, and a fair, but challenging difficulty curve have rightfully earned it a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. But what is it all about?
Forged In Shadow Torch is set in Torch City, a bustling metropolis that mixes dieselpunk and oriental aesthetics. Although it was once populated entirely by animals, nowadays Torch City lives under the occupation of Machine Legion. It’s been six long years since their army of unrelenting automatons crushed the last vestiges of resistance, but hope is about to be rekindled.
Rayton, a rabbit who once fought the machines as a freedom fighter, decides that he can’t take it anymore after witnessing an unjust imprisonment of his friend. Armed with three distinct weapons, the Fist, the Drill, and the Whip, he intends to crush his robotic oppressors all by himself.
