Wartales is an open-world RPG developed by Shiro Games, set during the medieval era. Approximately a century ago, a devastating plague was unleashed upon the known world, claiming so many people that even civilization itself could not withstand it. As the Edoran Empire collapsed, its territories were plunged into lawlessness and turmoil.
You will lead a group of people just as brutal and savage as the lands they inhabit. Not held back by any notion of morality, these people are determined to survive and to prosper at all costs.
You will not be given any goal beyond that. There’s no ancient evil for you to defeat, no main quest to blindly follow. As long as you stay alive, you can do whatever you want. Perhaps you will explore the ruins left behind by the great empire, and uncover the mysteries behind its downfall. Perhaps you will go bounty hunting, and bring a small measure of law to the land, or destroy what little has remained through murder and plunder. The choice is yours.
Officially, only Microsoft Windows can be used to play the game, but it’s also possible to play Wartales on Mac. The guide below will explain how to do it.
